Dressing with intention

Dressing with Intention: Presence, Care, and Coherence

For a long time, I thought looking good was about having more clothes, updating my wardrobe, or following certain trends. Over time—and especially by listening to myself more—I've realized it wasn't about that.

Today, for me, dressing with intention is much more about a process than a result. A process that begins within and is reflected on the outside.

A wardrobe that accompanies the person we are today.

Our wardrobe isn't static. It changes as we change: with life stages, rhythms, work, and the way we live our daily lives.

Dressing with intention involves stopping and asking yourself: What do I need now? What clothes make me feel comfortable, present, and in harmony with the person I am today, not with the person I was years ago or the person I "should" be?

Consciously updating your wardrobe doesn't mean adding more, but rather reviewing, letting go, and organizing. Look at each garment carefully, decide what to keep, what has served its purpose, and what deserves better care.

Care as part of the process.

There is something truly transformative about preparing clothes calmly. Sorting them, folding them, hanging them with enough space, keeping them clean and well cared for.

These gestures, which may seem minor, build a different relationship with what we wear. The closet ceases to be a chaotic place and becomes a space that supports and sustains us.

Ironing a garment, preparing it the night before, or combining it with intention is not a mechanical task: it is a form of presence.

From conscious habit to way of life.

When these small acts of care are repeated, they cease to feel like an effort and become a natural routine. A way to start the day with order and clarity.

Dressing with intention is not an aesthetic requirement or a quest for perfection. It is a habit that is cultivated little by little, listening to one's own rhythm and respecting one's own pace.

Over time, this way of relating to clothing extends to other areas: we consume more consciously, choose better, and value what we already have more.

Coherence, Presence, and Choice.

For me, this process is deeply linked to coherence. To ensuring that what I create with my hands, the materials I choose, and the way I present myself to the world speak the same language.

My accessories are born from time, care, and intention. My wardrobe, little by little, is too.

Dressing with intention is choosing calmly. It's caring. It's consciously updating ourselves.

And, above all, it's a peaceful and everyday way of embracing who we are today.

And finally, some tips to make this an easy routine.

- Take everything out of your closet and organize it like a boutique. Only put in what you like and what fits you well, and you can even mix and match pieces. Leave the rest, or anything you're unsure about, out of sight for a few days. You'll see how good it feels to have free space in your closet.

- Fold, iron, and remove lint and fuzz with a fabric shaver and a cleaning roller.

- Steam your coats, jackets, skirts, and pants. This not only stretches your clothes but also deodorizes them.

- Place a full-length mirror near your closet or where you get dressed.

- Sew or have small imperfections repaired on your clothes so they look their best.

- Clean and organize your shoes and bags.

- Make a note of the predominant colors you own to create combinations.

- Always check your clothes before putting them back in the closet.

- Check your clothes before you leave to make sure you don't have any pet hair or dust on them.

-  Enjoy the process ♥

And now, go ahead, you're ready to take on the world! ♫
